SUBJECT LINE: Please Duplicate the Upfield Line by 2030
I rely on the Upfield Train Line to get around. But the trains don't come often enough and there are too many cancellations. We need more frequent and reliable trains. Trains need to come at least every 10 minutes. We were promised a more frequent service when the Metro Tunnel opened. But this didn't happen.
Currently, the single track section north of Gowrie Station means that we can't get more frequent trains. Please duplicate the Upfield Line north of Gowrie Station by 2030, as recommended by Infrastructure Victoria. We have heard that the final business case received funding in 2026. Could you also please let us know when this will be published?
